Christmas Light Installation in Etobicoke

Hiring someone to put up Christmas lights usually means hiring them twice: once in November, and again in January to take them down. Permanent lights skip the second visit, and every visit after that.

We install Christmas lights that stay up: Govee permanent outdoor lights mounted along your roofline once. In December they're red and green, multicolour or classic warm white, picked in an app. In January there's nothing to take down, and the same lights handle Halloween, game nights and every ordinary evening. Prefer lights that come down after the holidays? We do seasonal installs too.

Below: how this compares with a seasonal Christmas light service, what Christmas looks like with permanent lights, when to book, and which Govee kit to use.

Seasonal vs permanent

How is this different from a seasonal Christmas light service?

A seasonal service rents you a December. Permanent lights are yours for every month after the install.

We do both. If seasonal suits you better, we'll put your Christmas lights up before the holidays and take them down in the new year. Ask for a quote and tell us which you want.

Christmas scenes

What does Christmas look like with permanent lights?

Whatever you'd have hung, plus a few things strings can't do.

  • Classic warm white. The look of traditional white Christmas lights, along every roofline.
  • Red and green. Alternating along the run, or one colour on the house and one on the garage.
  • Multicolour. Like the strings you grew up with, in one clean run along the roofline.
  • A schedule. On at dusk and off at bedtime, from late November to New Year's, without anyone touching a phone.

Timing

When should I book a Christmas light install?

Before it gets cold, and before November.

Before it gets cold, because the clips use adhesive tape, and tape holds best on a clean, dry, warm surface. By December, a Toronto fascia is rarely any of those.

Before November, because that's when everyone else starts looking. In Canada, searches for Christmas light installation peak in November.

Choosing a kit

Which Govee kit works for Christmas lights?

Both of Govee's main kits do every Christmas colour. The biggest difference between them is cutting. You can't cut the Permanent Outdoor Lights 2, so the run is planned around the length you buy. You can cut the Permanent Outdoor Lights Pro, which comes in runs up to 200 ft, and to install it properly, we cut it to fit your roofline.
